| The 61st Chilton County Peach Festival was held June 20th through 28th, 2008 in Clanton. Shown at right, left to right, are the new Queens: Karah Smitherman, Little Miss Peach; Keeley Patterson, Miss Peach; Kalyn Shannon, Junior Miss Peach and Hannah Wilson, Young Miss Peach. This is an annual event begun in 1947 when Chick Jones, of the Alpine Community, near Stanton, was crowned Peach Queen. | ||||||||||||||||||
