More Candidates Qualify
Candidates continued to qualify last week for the four municipal elections that will be held in August. Candidates had until Tuesday, July 15th at 5:00 P.M. to qualify to run for office.

Qualifying for the Maplesville Town Council were: John D. Caudle for Place 1, Mike Bearden for Place 2, Aubrey Latham for Place 3, Ray Mitchell for Place 4 and Jim Threadgill for Place 5.

At Thorsby, Dearl Hilyer has qualified for Mayor, Tara Jewell for Council Place 5 and Harry Adkins for Council Place 4.

In Clanton, Sammy Wilson has qualified to run for Place 3 on the City Council and William Trimble and Annie Varner have qualified for Palce 4.

At Jemison Brian "Bucky" Jackson and Wayne Caton have qualified to run for Mayor. George Brasher has qualified for Place 1 on the Jemison City Council.
